I am going to dedicate this page to the software and later on hardware that I find is best to suit geeks uses overall. Once I get a good amount of views going I will consult some hardware manufactures for a product to review.
Internet Browser
- Google Chrome 2: This browser may be just slower than Safari 4 but it only uses 45MB of your RAM instead of 220MB.
- Safari 4: If you have the RAM available get it. It loves its RAM. Like me with Oreo’s. If you haven’t got over 2GB RAM I suggest Chrome.
Office Suite
- Open Office 3.1: Its free and I does the job, but if you want real flash reports and documents you best check out Microsoft Office 2007. Did I mention its free?
Instant messaging client
- Pidgin: It has to be the most straight forward piece of instant messaging ever. Another point goes to the Open Source crowd.
